ABOUT ME

I have been an artist since 1992, with a concentration in welding and metal work.  Having discovered metal purely by chance, my first step in learning the craft was by apprenticing in an Atlanta metal shop for a year.  After realizing this had grown into a passion and wasn't just a passing fancy, I enrolled in a two-year course in "welding and joining" at the local tech school and graduated with honors.  The most exciting project I was invited to work on was a large, bronze public art piece for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta!  And a few years ago, I did a custom pendant necklace for the Smithsonian Museum.  That was a "wow" moment!

2002 brought the life-changing move to Jackson Hole, WY.  Looking to created something both beautiful and functional, I came up with the idea of using the iconic Cathedral Group of the Grand Tetons as the inspiration for the original napkin and key ring design.  For me, nothing is better than using something that is both functional as well as beautiful on a daily basis.  (After all, when you grow up in the South, you use cloth napkins every day!)  But in addition to that first design, I also branched out and started doing custom designs for businesses and individuals as well.   Some of the projects have included custom monogrammed napkin rings for a wedding, corporate logos for local businesses, and napkin rings and key rings for a local private club.
