Another inspiration from Alberto Giacometti, Diego was based on a sculpture he did of his brother. This one is made of steel, wire, plaster, and wood (part of the base). Rust was allowed to naturally emanate from the wet plaster reacting with the raw steel. The back side is particulary interesting, as it is partially open, showing the wires and plates that go into the making of the head. This piece looks amazing when placed in front of a mirror that will reflect the back side of the head.
